International Community Conference on Commons - Vijay Mugilu
Tumkur: A local presentation of the International Conference on Commons, Local Staining, was recently held via Zoom at the Taluk Panchayat Sabha here under the joint auspices of the Foundation for Ecological Security.
The national level mass community conference held under the chairmanship of Lakshminarayana Swamy, Executive Officer of Kal Streening Jara, covered many topics.
The results of community development and natural resource development works of lands under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and the community-based management of groundwater, forest and livestock in various parts of the country have been achieved.
Community representatives from several states shared with their PPTs the key performance indicators of the success stories achieved on the topic.
In this conference, information on natural resources from all the states of India and abroad will be presented.
Resource persons participated in the program and shared information about its usefulness and good use.
GPANS on the role of women and people's representatives of the Gram Panchayat in preserving the collective assets within the limits of the Gram Panchayat They discussed the role of the management committee, environmental development and environmental protection.
